A Natural Cottage In The City

I think we are missing a trick with short-stay city breaks. I do not believe Artificial Intelligence can even fix it. For short city stays there is only one person who can decide if they want to pay for an “Experience” or an “Outcome” – and that is you!

My name is Max. I was born on this road; home-educated on this road and spent the last year since finishing my A Levels renovating this property and developing a proposition to provide you with a special Experience in a unique location.

I was home-educated across the road and my grandparents moved here the year before I was born. I have always known VC and I have personally renovated and freshened up this “Modern Cottage”.

Technically speaking it is a maisonette but my ambition was to give it the feel of a cottage. Going back to simple values: Less technology (there is no TV), lots of natural light and extremely spacious for a 2-bedroom property. As VC is surrounded by unprecedented nature, I wanted to be true to the environment.

The “experiential” process starts with how you feel when you read this website. You might spend 5 minutes and find this is not for you. Or maybe, just maybe something will resonate and this will be the start of a memorable stay.

I believe when you make a booking you either buy an Outcome or an Experience. If you are looking for an Outcome (for example, to be right next to an event you are attending) VC might not be right for you.

However, if you are visiting friends, family or going into town and looking to balance this with real bonding time, the proposition from VC has been created with you in mind.

My dad found this road on a bike ride in 1996 and waited to buy his first home here. I am not sure if you can find a place like it in a city. VC is surrounded by between greenery on all four sides. Wimbledon Common is at the end of the road. Richmond Park is across the road. Putney Common is up the road and accessible through Wimbledon Common.

This means most of the Experiences can be reached without a car, so ‒ most of them on foot or by bicycle. Conveniently, a walk into Richmond Park will allow you to hire bicycles.

I know this area like the back of my hand. Is there a place in the City that has a Royal Park on one side and the historic Wimbledon Common on the other? Ley lines, a natural spring, the chance to cycle off-road into Surrey or the City, and, I believe, better walks than modern cordoned-off countryside. It is a different way to visit the capital.

As we are surrounded by trees, it seems only feeling right that VC has a natural wooden feel. In Richmond Park alone there are reportedly 1,300 veteran trees and around 320 of these are classed as ancient. These are just the veteran trees and this is just in Richmond Park, which also houses 630 deer. All green spaces are accessible 24 hours a day. A full-moon walk in Richmond Park is magical.

VC is a modern, recently renovated cottage in the City. The VC garden is amazing in the morning. We have many visitors. I once counted 18 animals and birds in the garden while I enjoyed a 30-minute coffee in the Coconut Cocktail Bar. Parakeets and squirrels are a few of the creatures that roam freely in the area, which was influenced by Henry VIII, Queen Victoria, Princess Diana’s family and more recently Vinny Jones.

My family has always loved this road. My dad made a film about Wimbledon Common when I was 7 years old and it was shown at the Odeon. You are invited to watch this film and you can visit the places in the film within minutes.

Most websites are only visited for booking purposes. This website helps you prepare for your trip, and takes away the heavy lifting when packing your bags. During your stay, the Experience Hub, developed from scratch coordinates each Experience with proposed resources through Near- Field Commuinication (NFC).
